Jo Fogg passed peacefully November 1st surrounded by family at the age of 91. Born in Boston, Massachusetts, Jo was a resident of Malibu since the early 1960’s. Ahead of her time and always active, Jo was a working Mom all her life and passionate about her accounting career until she stopped working at 80. She loved all social occasions, especially going to the theater, acting and dancing, and cooking for her family and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Clay Fogg, and daughter Janet Shaffer. Jo and Clay were active in the Malibu community and influential in establishing the Malibu Senior Citizens Club. They also organized trips around the world and promoted Dial-a-Ride. Jo was honored for her contributions as Malibu’s Senior Citizen of the Year with the Malibu Times Dolphin Award in 2000.
Jo leaves her daughter Linda Saavedra, and son Keith (Ginny) Fogg, along with 6 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren, and 3 of her 5 siblings. In 2004, “Honey” was acknowledged as a California Grandparent of the Year. A private family memorial will be held. Please share your tributes, pictures, and stories here.
